Here is a list of semi-random links that you might find useful or diverting. If you want, you can submit a link by email. Obviously, links need to be at least slightly relevant to Leicester Jugglers, and will be subject to approval before being added - Jay Linn, webmaster

The Internet Juggling Database
 |
The IJDb is nowadays the first port of call for anyone wishing to find juggling-related resources on the web.
It is a mine of useful information, video resources, tutorials, links, club and vendor listings, worldwide convention and event details debate both heated and cooled, and no end of other good things.[Top] |
British Juggling Convention 2004
 |
It' over. You missed it. You also missed the mud.
This year's attendance from Leicestershire was appalling. Please try harder next year, when it will be in Perth, Scotland, The North Pole.[Top] |

Last time I went to Crawley Convention was 1995, and I was the compére of the open stage, having just driven 18 hours straight, from the Scottish Highlands. Crikey! How time flies.
This time around, the prodigal Thomas Dietz is headlining the public show, fresh from his individual gold medal at the IJA comps in Buffalo last month. It should be a great show.[Top] |
16th Bristol Juggling & Circus Skills Convention
Clicking the link above will display this year's flyer in a new window.

In the pantheon of juggling conventions worldwide, there is probably no single event more legendary, more hallowed than Brizzle, as it is affectionately known.
Taking place at the arse end of summer, when the nights can get distinctly nippy, and situated in a field in a scout camp quirkily chosen for it's complete absence of level turf, Brizzle is a magnificently unconventional convention.
With glorious views over the Severn estuary, which you can admire at your leisure form the comfort of the garden of The Moving Finger café, Brizzle is nine blissful days away from the hurly-burly of real life, where old friends meet, new friendships are forged, skills and stories are swapped, copious games are played and copiouser beer is drunk, and traditionally Haggis gets plastered and hurls.
For jugglers, Brizzle is truly a "see Venice and die" moment.[Top] |

IJDb rec.juggling Use this link to access rec.juggling through the IJDb - more convenient, but requires a login |
rec.juggling is the world's premier newsgroup for jugglers, and has been chugging along cheerfully since 1991, collecting the wisdom and stupidity of jugglers and other hangers-on, on a myriad different subjects.
WARNING! rec.juggling is a public forum, where from time to time opinions are expressed very strongly - don't visit rec.juggling if you are easily offended or an incredible prude.
In practice, r.j is a pretty friendly place, so you needn't worry about loads of swearing and porn swamping your computer, but be sensible and expect the occasional outburst.[Top] |
| UK Jugglers - a Yahoo! group |
UK Jugglers is an email and web based group serving issues more specific to the community of UK jugglers.
It carries announcements about events and suchlike, hosts more tittle-tattle than you can shake a stick at, and just like rec.juggling, has the occasional sweary tantrum for the rest of us to point and laugh at.[Top] |
| The Juggling Information Service |
The JIS is a revered but now sadly out-of-date website. It has been around a lot longer than the IJDb, but suffers from a lack of updates. Nevertheless, it still contains much useful archival material. [Top] |
| The Juggling Record Database |
The JRDb is heaven sent for obsessive jugglers and budding Stattoes alike.
A thick and nourishing soup of seemingly random numbers and arcane abbreviations and descriptions for many things that even serious hobby jugglers might have trouble getting their heads around, the JRDb somehow manages to perform a very useful service to the juggling community, by being the most comprehensive list of juggling records and personal bests anywhere in the world.[Top] |

The IJA, despite it's name, is mainly oriented towards North American jugglers, although it is now making positive moves to becoming more international, after some uncomfortable shenanigans within its organisation during 2003.
It has been running for donkey's years, and continues to stage the annual IJA Fest and competitions, and also produces JUGGLE magazine. We look forward to the IJA once again becoming a worthy and inclusive body on the world stage of juggling.[Top] |

 |
Ahh, the interweb - all human life is there, including this spiffy little site dedicated to the arcane art of hat manipulation.
